Training November

For the last week I have been back in Bretagne at Port la Foret for a training camp with Pôle Finistère Course au Large.

We had an "all-round" week including sailing, fitness testing, routing work, seasons debrief and planning for the coming season which has been a tiring week.

It's been great to be back out in Seacat Challenger. The boat felt really good and although I was a little rusty with a month out of the boat, I felt I was sailing relatively well scoring some good results in the little races.

I hadn’t been feeling particularly well for the last month however unexpectedly I performed well at the fitness test that was followed by a memory test. The idea was to replicate short tacking up the shore with intense physical exercise followed by a quick look at the electronic charts before answering some questions on the routing.

Now it's time for Metstrade boat show to catch up with sponsors, do some networking, and try to meet some new partners.
